Ingredients:

  • 12 pieces lasagna sheets fresh or dried
  • 2 cups Bolognese sauce a mixture of ground beef, pork, tomatoes, carrots, onions, and herbs
  • 2 cups béchamel sauce made from butter, flour, milk, and nutmeg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the lasagna sheets according to the package instructions, making sure to salt the water generously. Drain and set them aside on a sheet of parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Prepare the béchamel sauce: In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add 2 tbsp of flour, whisking continuously until it forms a smooth paste. Gradually add 2 cups of milk while whisking, and cook until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  • Assemble the lasagna: In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of Bolognese sauce. Add a layer of lasagna sheets, followed by béchamel sauce and mozzarella. Repeat the layers, finishing with a generous layer of Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbling. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
